Conservation
Management of a natural resource to prevent exploitation, destruction, or neglect.
Evaporation
The conversion of liquid water into a vapor or gas. Along with condensation and precipitation, evaporation is one of the three major processes in the water cycle.
Transpiration
The release of water vapor from the leaves of plants into the atmosphere.
Groundwater
Water that is stored underneath the earth’s surface.
Run-off
The draining away of water from the surface of an area of land, building or structure.
