Drought is challenging us all—but across our region, people are finding smart, sustainable ways to adapt. Whether it’s conserving water through native landscaping or rethinking everyday habits, we want to showcase how our community is staying Rooted in Texas.
This photo contest celebrates your creativity, conservation efforts, and connection to the Edwards Aquifer. Your photos may inspire others—and could land you a spot in our 2027 calendar!
As the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) celebrates 30 years of stewardship on June 28th, we invite residents, students, businesses, and organizations from Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, Medina, and Uvalde counties to help us look to the future by showcasing how you’re managing the drought. Whether you’re collecting rainwater, composting, using drip irrigation, or embracing native plants—we want to see it!
Winning photos will be featured in the 2027 EAA Calendar, celebrating innovation, resilience, and the community’s shared commitment to protecting the aquifer.
Each winning entry will receive a $100 VISA gift card, an EAA Swag Bag filled with native seeds, water-saving tools, and aquifer-friendly tips, be featured in the 2027 EAA Calendar, and be recognized at the November 2026 EAA Board of Directors Meeting.
