Who can visit the EAA-EOC?

Everyone is welcome at the wheelchair-accessible Edwards Aquifer Authority Education Outreach Center!

What kinds of things can I do there?

Inside the EOC you will find several interactive exhibits and displays about water conservation and the Edwards Aquifer. Outside the walls of the EOC, visitors will find a wildlife viewing area and a Demonstration Garden where visitors can learn about native plants and rainwater harvesting.

What is the cost?

Admission to the Edwards Aquifer Education Outreach Center is free of charge. Attractions in Morgan’s Camp are charged separately. Please go to Morgan’s Camp for a list of events and prices.

What is included in a Self-Guided tour?

A self-guided tour includes a shuttle ride to the EOC from the parking lot, access to the EOC Gallery and Exhibits, an unlimited amount of time to explore the EOC, and a shuttle ride back to your vehicle.

What is included in a School Program?

When you book a school program at the Edwards Aquifer Authority Education Outreach Center, all instruction and materials are included. Additionally, your FREE field trip experience includes a presentation and hands-on activity for all of your students.

How long does a visit to the EOC usually take?

Self-Guided tours typically run 1 hour. A School Program typically lasts between 1 and 2 hours.

When is the EOC open?

The Education Outreach Center is open from Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5pm.

Must I be in a group?

No. Individuals and families are welcome. We are free and open to the public!

Booking Experience

How do I book/schedule?

Please visit our website at eaaeoc.org and click on Schedule a Visit. Click on either Self-Guided Tour or School Program and select an available date/time. Enter your contact info, group size, and details. Then click the Book button to submit your reservation request. You will receive an email confirmation of your upcoming visit to the email address you entered.

May I visit without booking in advance on the EOC Web site?

Reservations are recommended, especially for groups and school presentations. Please schedule your free visit. If you have questions, please call 210-547-2222.

What will the booking confirmation look like?

When we receive your reservation, we will send you an email indicating that your request was received. This email will confirm the information you provided and will give you details about your upcoming visit such as directions, parking, and program information.

Where is the orientation/welcome area?

For School Programs at the EOC, the orientation/welcome area is in front of the EOC. Chaperones for school groups and Self-Guided Tours should please check in at the front desk located inside the EOC.

A map of the facility can be found online on Morgan’s Camp website.

School Groups

How many people are required to schedule a School Program?

Groups of 10 to 100 or more are encouraged to schedule a School Program, in which we offer and design a FREE field trip experience for your school group.

How does the EOC accommodate large school groups?

Groups of 30 or more may be split into smaller groups to visit each station/activity using rotations. Each rotation will last about 20 minutes and will be signaled to switch by staff presenters.

Are there storage lockers of any kind?

There are no lockers on site. School groups with lunch coolers may leave the coolers in an area designated by EOC staff.

Where do teachers locate curriculum units before or after visiting the EOC?

The EAA Curriculum can be found online at the Learning-Zone.

Are there opportunities for junior or adult volunteers?

Interested students who are currently in 9th-12th grade are invited to come back as teen Volunteers. Paid internships are also available seasonally. Check our Edwards Aquifer Authority website to learn more. Adult volunteers may express interest in volunteering at the EOC by submitting a volunteer form. Provide your contact info, select potential opportunities, then click Subscribe to be added to our volunteer interest list.

Food & Water

Can I buy food or beverages at the EOC?

Currently, there are no food or beverage sales available. We encourage all visitors to bring their own reusable bottles to be refilled at the EOC water refill station.

What is the food policy?

Visitors may bring food and snacks to be consumed outside of the EOC Building.

Can we bring coolers?

Yes, coolers may be stored at the EOC during your visit.

Can we eat lunch there?

Yes, food and snacks may be consumed outside of the EOC Building.

Location & Free Parking

How to Get Here

The EAA Education Outreach Center is located on the property of Morgan’s Camp at 23400 Cibolo Vista, San Antonio, TX, 78261, just off Evans Road. When you get to the main entrance gate of Morgan’s Camp, call 210-547-2222 to be given gate access. There is no cost for parking.

Where do I park?

The parking lot is located about 1 mile from the main gate, down a private/one lane road. At the Morgan’s Camp Guard Tower, turn LEFT to pass through a second gate into the EOC parking lot.

After I park, where do I go first?

Upon your arrival, please call 210-547-2222 for a shuttle ride down to the EOC Building.

May buses stay on site?

After unloading in front of the EOC Building, buses may park on site in the EOC parking lot. Buses will be escorted by EAA Staff from the EOC to the parking lot after unloading passengers and coolers. Bus drivers must stay on their bus or be shuttled down to the EOC where restrooms and air conditioning are available. Bus drivers and visitors are not permitted to walk between the upper parking lot and the EOC or wander about the property.
